Sweet Potato & Yam Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kg of sweet potatoes
  • 500g of yams
  • 200 ml of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Baking tray
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Knife

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Peel and cube the sweet potatoes and yams into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sweet potatoes and yams with olive oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on a baking tray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  • Once done, remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
