Spicy Calabash Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium calabashes
  • 200g of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of chili paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp of sesame seeds for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Wok
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring Cups
  • Spatula

Instructions:

  • Slice the calabashes lengthwise and scoop out the seeds with a spoon.
  • Heat the olive oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the wok and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink.
  • Stir in the sliced bell peppers and cook for another 3 minutes until they are slightly tender.
  • Add the calabash halves to the wok along with soy sauce, chili paste, salt, and pepper; stir everything thoroughly to combine.
  • Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the calabash is tender but not mushy.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
